**THIS POSITION IS NOT A REMOTE ROLE. THIS ROLE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ONSITE IN OUR SAN ANTONIO, TX FACILITY.**

The Commercialization Manager will be a major contributor to Finlays Americas business, using their technical background and project management skills to lead Product Development initiatives from ideation to commercialization. The candidate should be able to operate within a multi-disciplinary and multi-functional work environment. They are highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities, are strongly committed to teamwork, quality of deliverables, and project timelines. The candidate’s technical and project management skills will be key to serving our expanding coffee and tea product lines and market needs handled in accordance with Finlays mission, business philosophy, ethics, and goals.

Finlays operates manufacturing sites worldwide (UK, USA, China, Kenya, Sri Lanka & Chile). This role will occasionally require interactions with sites outside of North America, to develop new products, provide or receive technical support, and share best practices. A willingness to travel across multiple US locations is expected, as well as ability to operate in a multicultural environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Guide commercialization efforts for new products and packaging, ensuring launch readiness and excellence.
  • Manage projects by facilitating frequent and multidisciplinary meetings, organizing and sharing all relevant documentation, and ensuring the best possible project executions.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve business performance in relation to product and packaging innovations.
  • Lead, facilitate or participate in internal meetings related to product development, such as meetings with commercial, marketing, operations, as well as kick off meetings, and other.
  • Maintain close communication with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure each function is playing their part in delivering complex project timelines.
  • Act as the primary ‘go to’ person for delivering project updates, including to Senior Leadership.
  • Coordinate plant trials at Finlay locations in support of product scale-up, customer samples,
  • Manage data and information, such as project timelines and deliverables, documentation, training materials, checklists, and shared files electronically, through Teams, SharePoint, MS Office tools, etc.
  • Provide cross-functional support for productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALITY / SAFETY:
  • Responsible for consistently maintaining safe quality food products by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring visitors, contractors and customers are documented on each visit in and out of the facility to maintain good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense/food security and HACCP controls.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
  • Exhibit an understanding of quality standards and the ability to speak to Finlays quality systems.
  • Ensuring all safety work practices are adhered to, reporting all unsafe conditions.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related science
  • 5+ years’ experience in the food manufacturing, product development, and/or consumer goods industry.
  • PMI or Six Sigma Green belt certification preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills utilizing Excel, MS Project, Word, PDF.
  • Self-directed, ambitious, and determined to achieve tangible results, keen on processes and standards
  • Ability to take ownership, prioritize, and multi-task.
  • Ability to work on projects from start to finish with little direction.
  • Driven by teamwork and good communication skills to engage individuals and departments.
  • Provide leadership to the multidisciplinary community within Finlays Americas; manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to prepare and present clear expectations, timelines, and requirements to support NPD initiatives.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and manage presentations at various levels of the organization, including executive level.
  • Willing to take a hands-on approach to achieve objectives
